Utilities - Water Boiler Hire - 250kW Boiler Hire - Scotland
One of the largest water treatment works in Scotland, at Banchory near Aberdeen, recently underwent a major cleaning operation. However existing plant was unable to supply the large volume of hot water required.
What Did We Do?
Brian Gray, CRS regional sales manager for Scotland, received a call from the customer to discuss the possibility of a temporary boiler hire solution. He attended the site and carried out a survey to establish the scale of the task and the requirements. He then drew up a plan for a boiler, tank and generator to be installed, to enable the work on the water treatment membranes to go ahead.
How Did We Do It?
We supplied a CRS 250 boiler hire package from our range of 240v single-phase boilers, which extends up to the CRS 400 Boiler. This range of high power, low power input boilers was recently introduced as a replacement for the previous 415v (three phase) hire boilers, providing customers with a highly efficient and flexible alternative.
Equipment – CRS 250 Boiler, CRS Generator, CRS -Buffer Tank, Pipes, Fittings & Cable
End User – Water Treatment Works
Application – LTHW Boiler & Generator Package
Additional – Clean in Place (CIP) of Membranes
The CRS 250 boiler and generator package was supplied, installed and commissioned by CRS according to plan, enabling production of large quantities of hot water for successful intensive cleaning of the water treatment membranes.
Marc White, director at Carrier Rental Systems (UK) Ltd, said: “We are very pleased to have been able to assist our customer in the successful completion of the project. It is just one of a growing number of hire contracts carried out by our expanding boiler, heater and chiller hire business in Scotland.”Download the Case Study
